In a move to prevent committed crimes against children, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) has opted for the use of GPS technology to monitor the sex offenders who reside near the schools. Particularly Disneyland where a good number of sex offenders living is now a matter of concern for the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. The CDCR acting on the mandate which directs sex offenders not to live at least one-half mile from schools has decided to utilize GPS technology supported MapQuest to monitor some 1,800 high sex offenders. A GPS supported helicopter of Hong Kong police has been lost during a test flight when it spun out of control and crashed into a hillside while flying.
