Global Positioning Satellite system works as an effective tool to nab the offenders. It is always vigilant on each movement of the criminals. A GPS alert assists the police to find out the criminals. And in the process, the law violator is arrested. This is what happened in Santa Rosa County. Santa Rosa County man Eric William Smith, 38, accused with a domestic violence case has been caught due to a GPS alert when he tried to get into an exclusionary zone, placed around the victim’s residence. Smith who was released in pre-trial agreement was ordered to wear the GPS device. When he tried to enter into the victim’s residence near the exclusionary zone, the GPS device alerted the Santa Roa Sheriff’s Office Communication. The Sheriff’s office communicated the patrol deputies about Smith’s whereabouts. The patrol deputies arrested Smith within eight minutes of the alert. Read
