  • Assembly approves bill to GPS Monitoring of Sex Offenders

    The bill, which makes GPS tracking mandatory for the sex offenders, got the approval of the Wisconsin Assembly and ready for government’s consent. According to the bill, any person cause sexually harassment or forcefully molestation to a child below 12 years will be kept for GPS tracking throughout the life. Earlier the state Senate had brought certain changes in the original bill. The state senate pointed out the crimes for which offenders will be subject to GPS tracking. The Legislative Fiscal Bureau has calculated that GPS monitoring would require $1.2 million for 285 offenders in the first year and $2.3 million for 570 offenders in the second year.
