A GPS alert assists the police to find out the criminals. And in the process, the law violator is arrested. This is what happened in Santa Rosa County. Santa Rosa County man Eric William Smith, 38, accused with a domestic violence case has been caught due to a GPS alert when he tried to get into an exclusionary zone, placed around the victim&#8217;s residence. Smith who was released in pre-trial agreement was ordered to wear the GPS device. When he tried to enter into the victim&#8217;s residence near the exclusionary zone, the GPS device alerted the Santa Roa Sheriff&#8217;s Office Communication. The Sheriff&#8217;s office communicated the patrol deputies about Smith&#8217;s whereabouts. The patrol deputies arrested Smith within eight minutes of the alert. Read</p>

Sun Yuguo, president of Beijing-based NavInfo Co Ltd says, &#8216;Quite a number of automobile producers, both domestic and international, will install our navigating map in their new models&#8217;. Other mobile phone manufacturers are also interested to work out on a strategy for the development of digital mapping. A novice driver will get necessary information from the GPS supported maps about the destination. A 3D model accompanied by a voice will guide the drivers in reaching destination.
